Arm Day

Arm Day
Training
upper body is one of those things that I dread doing but then don’t completely
hate once I actually start doing it. Although I am pretty insecure about my
arms and lack of upper body strength, training them makes me feel like I am
taking a step in the right direction, and for that I should be proud! So, here
are my ideas for some simple moves to start you off on your own journey to
building arm strength.
- Dumbbell Curls: keep biceps still, move slowly through the reps and focus on mind-muscle connection
- Hammer Curls: keep your biceps still and move slowly
- Heavy Single Dumbbell Curls: keep your arms close together and use as much weight as you can
- Lateral Raises: keep a slight bend in the elbows and focus on engaging your muscles
- Lateral In & Outs: keep your arm as straight as possible and your biceps still
- Tricep Extensions: use a light weight, keep biceps still
- Tate Press: bend at the elbows, push out from your chest
- Skull Crushers: keep biceps still, bend at the elbows, don’t hit yourself in the face
- Tricep Dips: keep your legs straight and unengaged, squeeze shoulder blades in order to engage triceps
- Lat Pull Downs: use a close grip, lean back a little in order to pull the weight all the way to your chest
- Assisted Pull-Ups: change the weight on the pull-up machine to make them easier or harder, work your way up to doing them regularly
- Tricep Pushdowns: keep biceps still, raise arms 90°, separate ropes at the bottom

The visual explanations you gave were great! Arms are my weakness and i feel like burnout on arms are little bit difficult for me compared to the other big parts so next time I do arm day I'll try these of the tips.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I don't like training arms, either, but I hope this helps a little!
DeleteI absolutely hate arm day! But it's something you have to do. These workouts are really good, I don't always know what arm workouts to do so these are some new ones I can try!
ReplyDeleteI hate arms too! But you're right, gotta do it. I hope you enjoy some of these ideas, though!
DeleteI have always focused on toning my stomach and legs more than my arms, mostly because those are the places where I am most insecure. But you can't just only work certain parts when trying to get fit, so I will definitely be trying these arm workouts! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSame girl. We all tend to focus on things we either really like about ourselves (like me only wanting to train legs) or the things we don't, but we have to remember to do a little bit of everything!
